"If you do not feel yourself growing in your work, you have not found your place".

- Orison Swett Marden

There comes a time that you might feel bored and not enjoy your work anymore because you've been doing it for a long time. You're not very dedicated well because you do the same thing every day.

I had been working in the hospital as a Nutritionist Dietitian for more than two years and the task was routinary. I decided to change my career path and am still searching for what is best for me.

Today, I am going to share with you my career path searching journey.

1. As an English Online Tutor

I've been an English Online Tutor for Chinese Students for more than a year. When I was young, I really knew that English subject was not for me. I hated English very much because I was not good at it. But since I have to earn money for my family, I overcame my fear and challenged myself. Then, tada... here I am, an English Online Tutor.

At first, of course, I found it very challenging and interesting because this is the path that I never considered before, and English... yeah, it was a big NO. But see, my motivation overcomes my fear.

2. Financial Advisor

Since a part time Online English Tutor doesn’t sustain our financial needs well, I tried to find another part time job, as a Financial Advisor. I went to training with my husband and got our license. It is a good part time job but the problem is I am not able to juggle my time as a mom of a toddler, wife and an Online English Tutor, with that I am not able to meet my clients outside.

3. Freelancer - Virtual Assistance

Here, I am now. I got the freelancing course and trained by the Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy. I enjoyed all the portfolios I've done and I am starting to apply as a Virtual Assistance in different freelancing platforms. I am still exploring this kind of job and I hope that it would fit me.

I am still searching which path really fits for me. What is important is the more career paths you are exploring, the more knowledge you are gaining. Never get tired of trying new things, you never know, your future is one step closer to you. But, I didn't say it is not good that you are not exploring different career paths, as long as you're happy and productive with your career, just go on.

Cheers for our successful career!
